Job Description Summary

The Software Quality Assurance team at Streamline is looking to hire a Software Quality Assurance Engineer with automation experience. As an engineer on the QA team you will be expected to help develop and maintain both automated and manual tests. Follow the best quality practices and processes while participating in high release standards. The ideal candidate will have some familiarity with automated software testing (SAAS, API, and Mobile platforms) and Quality Assurance. Have automation experience with Cypress.io or Mocha in Node.js. Understand HTML, CSS, and jQuery in addition to being fluent in JavaScript. The QA engineer should understand the concepts needed to automate state of the art SAAS frontend pages and be comfortable working through the challenges of automating APIs and legacy web pages. You should be willing and excited to contribute to discussions while taking the initiative to solve problems and get the job done while taking on new challenges. You should thrive in team-oriented and fast-paced environments where each team-member is vital to the overall success of the product.

What You’ll Do (Functions & Responsibilities)

  • Test outstanding Jira tasks (new development and bug fixes) that are ready to be tested before being released into production environment.
  • Test recently released tasks to ensure they are working properly in production environment.
  • Test for a variety of needs; product interface, primary product logic, peripheral product logic, integration/API logic.
  • Review and update acceptance testing requirements on tasks as needed.
  • Ensure software release notes are complete and understandable.
  • Stress test production environment to proactively find bugs/issues and write up Jira tasks for any issues found.
  • Suggest product enhancements to improve user experience and write up new development tasks as needed.
  • Review and Update Knowledgebase articles as features are fixed/updated
  • Coordinate client acceptance testing when required (includes Ticket/Email/Phone/Zoom coordination with client)
  • Assists with Support teams as needed
  • Additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

What We’re Looking For (Minimum qualifications)

  • 2 + years of experience in software and/or IT industry.
  • Tech Savvy with a thirst to learn.
  • Product/Integrations QA
  • Ability to convey complex technical material in a simple, understanding manner.
  • Customer service experience.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Quick learner, detail oriented, and collaborative friendly team player
  • Professionalism and clarity in your verbal and written communication with the ability to teach customers and teammates with enthusiasm
  • Bonus Qualifications
  • Knowledge of Jira
  • Knowledge of Agile principles and Scrum process
  • Understanding of XML/JSON
  • Vacation Rental industry experience
