Your Role: A Production Associate I Inventory, is responsible for reading incoming orders and selecting the correct items from the warehouse shelves before staging them for delivery to ship in a manner that supports departmental timelines. Their duties include operating forklifts and other heavy machinery, updating inventory counts and counting out the appropriate number of goods to fulfill and order. Packing and staging for delivery, from packing parcels to pallets for freight shipments. They will also work with the supervisor on inventory audits, staging material for the production team to build, and notifying the supervisor of any discrepancies, issues or concerns. 

A successful candidate will have or embody the ability to stay on task, follow a project all the way though, have a keen eye for quality and the ability to bring those changes to the attention of the supervisor or to the team. They will be able to work independently and contribute to group tasks or projects.

What You'll Do:

  • Picking out items on a Sales Order from shelves or the warehouse daily using barcodes, serial numbers, part numbers, etc.
  • Picking out items for the production team, to work on assemblies or other tasks as needed
  • Use general hand tools frequently including drills, box cutters, and snap machines as needed
  • Able to, operate forklift and other heavy machinery safely as needed
  • Ability to pack large and complex orders in parcels or pallet shipments with freight as needed
  • Loading delivery vehicles as needed
  • Packing incoming stock away weekly after it is cleared by receiving
  • Ability to learn various and unique techniques daily required for production
  • Ability to Navigate a PC (Windows), send emails via Gmail, or Chat daily
  • Daily communicate internally and externally through use of email or chat
  • Ability to read daily Sales Order Paperwork, Pull, Pack and Fulfill orders
  • Perform inventory counts, cycle counts or spot counts as needed
  • Ensure that production requirements and standards are met daily
  • Daily making every effort to increase productivity and efficiency without compromising quality
  • Report any machinery issues to management as needed
  • Work cooperatively daily with the production team to meet quotas and goals
  • Daily maintain a clean and safe work area on a constant basis
  • Daily observe all safety guidelines and report safety concerns to management as needed
  • Follow all written and verbal instructions on a daily basis
  • Demonstrate a positive and professional attitude daily
  • Managing stock control, including item replenishment and storage weekly
  • Performing general warehouse or shop duties as needed
  • Assist the production department with the various needs as needed
  • Employees are expected to constantly arrive at work on time and fully prepared for their scheduled shifts, maintaining daily and consistent attendance.

What You Bring:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 1+ years’ experience working in similar role, or warehouse role
  • Ability to drive a forklift confidently and safely, certification preferred
  • Capable of reading and understanding production documents
  • Highly competent at counting items and providing documentation
  • Google email and Google Drive experience
  • Basic math, reading, and writing skills
  • Competent computer skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work harmoniously with diverse range of people
