Speaking of, we “pull rabbits out of hats” for 10,000 small business owners across the US and Canada who rely on our payroll software to pay their 70,000+ employees and process their taxes. And we’re just getting started.

The Role at High-Level:
 
We are looking for a Marketing Analyst to work with our talented marketing team to assist us in measuring and monitoring the performance of our complex, multichannel marketing investments and activities.
 
Analyzing data is in your DNA. You have a data-driven mindset and understand which KPIs to monitor, which targets to track to, and how to detect and identify "bat" signals and trends the data may show so the team can make business decisions like course corrections or doubling down when necessary. 
 
As a data wrangler, you can connect data from multiple sources and create dashboards and visualizations so that business data can be easily understood and interpreted by all members of the Wagepoint team. You architect these dashboards so that if there is a point of interest, we can efficiently hone in and drill down to multiple levels of reporting details for further understanding.
 
Data integrity is your foundation, and you know that our data has to be accurate, reliable and trusted to tell a true story and enable us to make the right business decisions, investments, and, if necessary, pivots at the right time. 
 
You aren't just well versed in marketing buzzwords but know how to make the analytics tell a story. We'll be testing you on this :)
 
As a Marketing Data Analyst, you understand the data types, points and sources we need to access at high and lower levels to analyze marketing performance throughout the customer journey.
 
You understand, appreciate and rely on marketing attribution to report on ROI and will enable us to leverage and improve our single and multi-touch attribution

What you'll be doing:

  • Creating dashboards and integrated detail reports enabling the Wagepoint team to measure and monitor marketing performance and ROI at every investment stage and customer journey.
  • Synthesizing multi-source, multi-channels into visualizations and detail-level reports.
  • Detecting early signals and trends so we can double down or pivot quickly.
  • Work with IT and finance to deliver reports from multiple data sources.
  • Creating month-end, quarter-end and annual marketing reporting packages.
  • Managing and reporting on marketing performance, ROI and attribution for all channels and products. 
  • Ensuring transparency in our marketing performance data. Data transparency is vital to our success. It’s ok if the numbers say something isn’t working. It’s an opportunity to pivot quickly.
  • Providing feedback on the ROI of marketing channels and advising of any changes in performance, trends or opportunities.
  • Working at a fast pace and being able to multi-task on projects. As they start, you can incorporate new marketing activities and channels into the data.

What you bring to the table:

  • Demonstrated track record of data analysis and understanding of marketing data, attribution and marketing performance. In short, you've done this before.
  • You are quick thinking and act mindfully with a high level of EQ.
  • You aren't a fan of vanity metrics. No worries, we aren't either.
  • Ability to prepare high-impact dashboards and detailed reports that are accessible online and on demand.
  • You balance your drive for high performance with leading by example with compassion and empathy. Hint - you can have both!
  • You have managed a complex, multi-channel demand generation and attribution engine.
  • You are confident in your data analysis skills and can make data-driven recommendations on budget allocation, investment, ROI, opportunities, or even to pivot.
  • Deep understanding of CRM capabilities (ideally Hubspot) including attribution, dashboard creation, analytics, email marketing, campaigns, deal pipelines and customer lifecycle stages.
Bonus Points:
  • You may have transitioned from a marketer to a data analyst and truly understand both worlds deeply.
  • You’ve worked in a fast pace scale-up environment and well, kinda love it!
  • You have used tools like Klipfolio to bring data sources together and visualize them in an easy-to-understand way.
  • Ideally Hubspot certifications. Let us know which ones you have or which ones you would intend to get.
